Bubbles & Tea
Duration: December 2021-April 2022
My Role: Lead UX Designer and Researcher
Responsibilities: End-to-end design process, including user research, low and fidelity wireframing and prototyping, usability testing
The Challenge
Existing and new customers needed a way to efficiently order drinks from Bubbles & Tea for pick-up.
The Goal
To design an ordering app with a streamlined interface and easy-to-understand user flow.
Ideation & Prototyping
I created a variety of low and high fidelity wireframes and mockups to create a simple user flow for drink ordering and customization, which were then tested with a diverse group of users.
User Research
I created user journey maps to further understand our audience’s needs and conducted moderated usability testing with five participants from diverse backgrounds across the United States. User testing revealed that we needed:
A clearer shopping cart feature
An easier checkout process
To eliminate unnecessary pages (i.e. previous orders and favorite orders pages were redundant)
Research plan
Usability study note taking sheet
Affinity Mapping
