Allure Meadows Concept

As part of the Grow With Google UX Design Certificate program, I created a responsive wedding venue booking website for tablet, mobile, and desktop. The flow consists of users selecting a venue at Allure Meadows, booking a time and date slot, entering guest count, and adding optional details to their special day.

My Role: Lead UX Designer and Researcher

Responsibilities: End-to-end design process, including user research, low and fidelity wireframing and prototyping, usability testing

The Challenge

Design a booking website for a local wedding venue.

The Goal

Design a booking website for a local wedding venue with streamlined UI and an easy-to-understand flow.

Ideation & Prototyping

I created a variety of low and high fidelity wireframes and mockups to create a simple user flow for reserving a venue at the fictional Allure Meadows, which were then tested with a diverse group of users.

User Research

  • I created a user research plan and recruited five participants who had either recently planned or were currently planning a wedding or special event. I conducted user interviews, created personas and journey maps, and identified themes from the data.

The Findings

The research revealed, users needed:

  • an easier way to navigate to previous pages (back button)

  • a way to edit the booking before submitting

  • fewer pages to click through

  • pricing transparency and clear details for venue add-ons
